Watercolor for Cardmakers:Plaidmaking

Another fun pre-class warm-up exercise-make plaid. The pastel one was my first attempt with cake water colors- I didn't like them much. The darker blue and green one was from tiny snips of peerless.  That was really rich, intense color and seemed more my style. (Snips peerless on a piece of plastic with a pencil for scale).

And then cause I was playing but asking trying to make a card for my daughters friend and had the horse stamp out, I made the below with Distress pads just squished out onto the plastic and picked up with a water brush. The paper was not right at all for watercolor, but I still like the subtle wash of color.
